Russia makes Turkey's June CR flats imports soar
Turkey's cold rolled flat steel imports grew 45% year-on-year to 138,628 tonnes in June on the back of a surge in deliveries from Russia. The total average value/tonne of these imports dropped to $695/t from $984/t a year ago, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The increase in total intake volume was 30.5% over May, when imports rose, driven again by Russia-origin shipments.
