Turkey’s July rod exports continue slump, imports soar
Turkish wire rod exports continued their on-year slump in July, more than halving to 50,701 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They were, nevertheless, up from 26,864t in April, 39,559t in May and 43,966t in June.
Their average price was $636/tonne, versus $791/t in July 2022 and $673/t in June 2023.
