UAE lifts Turkey's July rebar exports despite US drop
Turkish rebar exports rose 2.7% year-on-year to 586,014 tonnes in July as increased shipments to United Arab Emirates and the UK offset a decline to the US. The average value of these exports slipped to $407/t from $425/t a year ago, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The slight rise in exports follows a 26.9% y-o-y growth to 656,149t in June on improved demand in the Middle East.
