Turkey's January hot-rolled flat steel exports slip on-year
Turkish hot-rolled (HR) flat steel exports declined slightly on-year in January, despite the increase in shipments to Europe, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
January's HR flat steel exports totalled 125,904 tonnes, down -2.6% y-o-y, while their overall average value/tonne increased to $488/t from $331/t a year ago.
