Turkey’s finished steel output rises on-year in January
Finished steel production in Turkey rose 5.3% year-on-year to 2.88 million tonnes in January, supported by imported semi products, the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD) says.
As much as 73.3% of the total was attributed to longs production which rose 4.5% y-o-y to 2.11mt, while flats output increased 7.5% to 769,000t, the association says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
