Turkey’s IDC to start investment to double production
Turkish electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) says preliminary contract negotiations have been completed to double its steel production capacity from 1.4 million tonnes/year to 2.8m t/y.
The investment is planned to be worth $100 million, Kallanish notes.
