Turkey’s IDC postpones new meltshop completion
Turkish long steel producer Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) says it plans to complete its long-delayed meltshop investment, which started in 2021, by the end of the first quarter of 2024.
It previously announced the assembly of machinery and equipment had begun for its meltshop programme within the scope of doubling melting capacity from 1.4 million tonnes/year to 2.8m t/y (see Kallanish passim).
