Turkey’s IDC more than doubles revenue in 2021
Turkish electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) more than doubled its revenue in 2021 to TRY 10.8 billion ($733.7 million), Kallanish learns from the firm.
The company, however, reported a net loss of TRY 782.5m in 2021 versus a net loss of TRY 462.5m a year earlier.
IDC saw a 13% on-year increase in 2021 finished product sales to 1,595,901 tonnes. Billet sales rose by 304% to 40,543t. Exports increased by 54% to 446,249t.
