Turkey’s IDC more than doubles first-quarter revenue
Turkish electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) more than doubled its revenue in the first quarter to TRY 4.2 billion ($278.6 million), Kallanish learns from the firm.
The company reported a net profit of TRY 181m in Q1 versus a net loss of TRY 130m last year.
IDC however saw a 5.84% on-year decrease in Q1 finished product sales to 337,830 tonnes. The company did not sell any billet in Q1 versus 15,011t of deliveries last year. Overall expor…
