Turkey's IDC commissions new meltshop
Turkish long steel producer Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has completed hot testing of its new meltshop and started production, the firm says in a bourse filing seen by Kallanish.
The company will nevertheless continue to run performance tests on the meltshop.
With the newly constructed steel mill, the production capacity of IDC has increased from 1,500,000 tonnes/year to approximately 3,100,000t.
