Turkey's HBI imports rise in May
Turkey imported 59,001 tonnes of direct reduced/hot-briquetted iron in May – at an average price of $346/tonne – up by 8% on-year but almost unchanged from the previous month, based on Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Imports from Russia rose by 25% to 52,500t, at $340/t, increasing their Turkish import market share to 89%.
