Turkey's HR flats imports resume growth in September
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel imports soared again in September, after staying flat on-year in August, thanks to increased intake from Russia and Europe, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
September's HR flats imports stood at 589,830 tonnes, up 42.8% on-year and 26.2% over August. Their overall average value/tonne rose to $587/t from $528/t a year ago.
