Turkey’s HR flats exports keep rising year-on-year in August
Exports of hot rolled (HR) flats from Turkey grew 19% year-on-year to 138,253 tonnes in August. The average price of these exports declined to $449/tonne from $639/t a year earlier, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The rise in exports follows a 67% on-year surge in July to 190,766t after a -16.4% fall in June to 146,690t, and a -17% decline in May to 115,748t.
