Turkey’s Habaş gets environmental approval for longs mill
Habaş’s environmental impact assessment process has been completed and approved for its hot rolling mill project in Aliaga, Izmir, says Turkey’s Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation.
The mill will have an annual rebar and wire rod capacity of 1.25 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
Billet from its own steel mill will be used as feedstock for the rolling mill. Habas has one existing mill in the region with an annual slab and billet capacity of 4.7mt.…
