Turkish finished steel output, consumption rise January-September
Finished steel production in Turkey rose 3.2% to 27.91 million tonnes in the nine months through September, the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD) says.
Longs output went up 1.8% to 19.93mt, while flats production increased 7.1% to 7.97mt in the nine months. Thus longs accounted for 71.4% of the country’s total finished steel production for the period, Kallanish learns from a TCUD statement.
