MENA drags down Turkey's February rebar exports
Turkish rebar exports fell -2.8% year-on-year in February. Lower shipments to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), led by a halt in exports to Egypt, offset the effect of exports to new destinations, Kallanish notes from Turkish statistical data.
February's rebar exports came in at 664,865 tonnes. Their overall average value/tonne rose to $419/t from $325/t a year ago, according to the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
