Turkey's economic confidence rebounds
Turkey's economic confidence index, which was 51.3 in April, increased by 20.4% in May to 61.7, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Confidence increased in all sectors: consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services, retail trade and construction.
The consumer confidence index increased 8.5% to 59.5, the manufacturing sector rose 18% to 73.5, services increased 10.8% to 51.1, and retail trade increased 5% to 70 in May.
