Turkey’s economic confidence recovers in March despite unrest
Following its fall in February, Turkey's economic confidence index increased by 3.3% month-on-month in March to 98.9, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The increase stemmed from higher consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services and retail trade confidence indices.
Turkey’s construction confidence index, which was at 83.1 in February, however, decreased by 4% in March to 79.8 (see Kallanish passim).
