Turkey’s economic confidence recovers in August, GDP surges

After hitting its lowest level since May 2021 in July, Turkey’s economic confidence index rebounded in August, by 1% to 94.3, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The rise in economic confidence stemmed from increases in the consumer and construction confidence indices. Turkey’s construction confidence index continued to increase in August. The index, which was at 84.99 in July, rose by 1.49% in August to 86.26 (see Kallanish passim)…
