Turkey’s economic confidence falls despite stronger construction
Turkey’s economic confidence index fell further in April, by 1.1% to 94.7, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The decline in economic confidence stemmed from the decreases in consumer and real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence indices.
Turkey’s construction confidence index, which was at 81.0 in March, nevertheless increased by 3% in April to 83.5 (see Kallanish passim).
