Turkey’s economic confidence falls sharply, GDP increases

Turkey’s economic confidence continued to fall in August, recording its sharpest monthly decline since the coronavirus epidemic. It declined 5.2% on-month to 94.1, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Turkey’s construction confidence index, meanwhile, declined to 87.4 in August from 88.1 in July (see Kallanish passim).
