Turkey's December hot-rolled flats imports decrease on-year
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel imports declined year-on-year in December as procurement from Europe and the Far East fell, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
December's HR flats imports came in at 429,262t, down -26.9% on-year. The total average value/tonne of these imports, however, rose to $476/tonne from $460/t a year ago.
