EAF mills drive Turkey's H1 steel output growth
Turkish crude steel production increased 11.4% on-year in the first half of the year to 18.2 million tonnes, supported by scrap-based output, according to the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
First-half EAF-based production grew 15.2% y-o-y to 12.4mt and integrated mills' output rose 3.9% to 5.8mt, the association says in a statement seen by Kallanish.
