Turkey's CR flats imports soar in September
Turkey's cold-rolled (CR) flat steel imports continued to increase in September, mainly thanks to growth in shipments from Russia and Europe, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
September's CR flats imports totalled 170,705 tonnes, up 63.5% tear-on-year and up from the 157,597t procured in August. The overall average value/tonne of these imports decreased to $849/t from $963/t a year ago.
