Turkey's CR flats imports resume growth in July
Turkey’s cold rolled (CR) flat steel imports increased in July, supported by higher intake from the CIS, Europe and East Asia, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
CR flats imports totalled 119,224 tonnes in July, up 29.6% year-on-year and 14.6% on-month. The overall average value/tonne of these imports increased to $987/t from $832/t a year ago. A month earlier, CR flats imports went down -25% y-o-y and -6.2…
