Turkey’s CR flats imports decline in September
Imports of cold rolled flats into Turkey fell by -19.6% year-on-year to 91,455 tonnes in September. The average price of these imports dropped to $944/tonne from $1,084/t a year earlier, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The registered fall follows a gradual rise in Turkey’s CR flats imports since April. In August, Turkey imported 100,657t of CR flats, up 9.2% y-o-y.
