Turkey’s May construction confidence rises after long decline
Turkey’s seasonally adjusted construction confidence index, which was 77.3 in April, increased by 3% in May to 79.6, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) says in a note seen by Kallanish. This is the first rise after nine months of decline.
The index for building activity over the past three months fell to 86 in May versus 88.3 in April, while current overall orderbooks decreased to 74.5 from 74.9.
An index above 100 indicates an optimistic outlook…
