Turkey’s construction confidence index improves in May
Turkey’s seasonally-adjusted construction confidence index, which was 44.7 in April, increased by 31.1% in May to 58.5, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) says in a note seen by Kallanish.
The index for building activity over the past three months increased to 58.5 in May versus 57.2 in April, while current overall order-books rose to 40 from 34.2.
An index above 100 indicates an optimistic outlook, while below 100 indicates a pessimistic outlook.
