Turkey’s flat steel prices slip on weak demand
Domestic and export prices for coated flat steel in Turkey were nominally stable, but with low demand persisting in both markets. Turkish re-rollers were in a position to provide discounts by $10-30/tonne from list prices, market participants inform Kallanish.
Apart from the softening of coated steel prices, two domestic hot rolled coil producers reported that lower values are becoming increasingly available for domestic buyers and for exports.
