China drives Turkey’s February welded pipe imports surge
Turkey’s welded pipe imports surged 243% year-on-year to 29,300 tonnes in February as intake from China zoomed, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The total average value/tonne of Turkey’s February imports of welded pipe decreased to $1,335/t from $2,034/t a year earlier.
The country’s January imports fell by -24.5% to 7,388t, including 631t supplied from China.
