Turkey’s Cemtas reports decreased sales in first half
Turkey’s Cemtas produced 74,047 tonnes of crude steel in the first half of 2020, up 9.8% on-year. Rolled products output was also up 1.7% to 66,020t, Kallanish notes.
The company, however, reported a -5.6% on-year decrease in first-half sales, with domestic deliveries down by -6.9% to 42,702t and exports down -3.3% to 23,960t. The share of exports in overall sales remained unchanged at 35%.
