Turkey’s Cemtas saw decreased sales in 2019
Turkey’s Cemtas produced 193,204 tonnes of crude steel in 2019, down -19.34% on-year. Rolled products output was down -15.51% to 138,493t, Kallanish notes.
The company reported an -11.11% on-year decline in total sales in 2019, with domestic sales up by 1.24% to 91,730t and exports falling -27.4% to 49,906t. The share of exports in overall sales thus fell to 35% from 43% in 2018.
