Turkey's Cemtas doubles 2022 revenue despite sales fall
Turkey’s Cemtas produced 158,509 tonnes of crude steel in 2022, down from 180,772t in 2021. Rolled products output was also down from 166,527t to 144,361t, Kallanish notes.
The company reported a 5.3% on-year decrease in sales, with exports down by 17.8% to 40,621t. Domestic deliveries, nevertheless, rose by 0.5% to 106,799t. The share of exports in overall sales in 2022 was 27.6%, down from 31.7% the previous year.
