Turkey’s Cemtas increases sales in first quarter
Turkey’s Cemtas produced 42,154 tonnes of crude steel in the first quarter of 2020, up 44% on-year. Rolled products output was also up 20% to 35,830t, Kallanish notes.
The company reported a 22% on-year increase in first-quarter sales, with domestic deliveries up by 20.5% to 24,380t and exports up by 24% to 15,129t. The share of exports in overall sales remained unchanged at 38% on-year.
