Turkey's billet imports decrease further in December
Turkish billet imports continued declining in December as procurement from China kept plummeting, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
December's billet imports in Turkey stood at 224,148 tonnes, down -41% year-on-year and -5% over November. The total average value/tonne of these imports, however, rose to $381/t from $305/t a year ago.
