Turkey's iron ore imports rebound in August
Turkish iron ore imports increased notably year-on-year in August, after falling in July, as intake from the CIS rebounded and imports from Brazil kept rising, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical (TUIK) data.
August's iron ore imports stood at 860,975 tonnes, up 47.7% y-o-y, but down from the 929,904t imported in July. The overall average value/tonne of these imports increased to $94/t from $69/t a year earlier.
