Turkey’s April rod exports slump to historical low
Turkish wire rod exports continued their slump in April, hitting a historical low. They fell sharply to a mere 26,864 tonnes from 95,496t last year, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. This was also down from 50,282t in February and 32,555t in March.
The average price was $734/tonne, versus $874/t in April 2022 and $737/t in March 2023.
