Turkey's HR flats imports fall despite Russia-origin surge
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel imports declined on-year in April, although procurement from major supplier Russia doubled, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Turkish HR flats intake went down -19.3% y-o-y to 454,202 tonnes in April. The total average value/tonne of these imports increased to $622/t from $418/t a year ago.
