Turkey’s IDC increases domestic sales in first quarter
Izmir Demir Celik (IDC)’s revenue increased 68.4% on-year in the first quarter to TRY 1.91 billion ($230.1 million), Kallanish learns from the firm. The company’s net loss narrowed TRY 130.2 million.
The Turkish electric arc furnace-based steelmaker reported a 11% on-year increase in finished product sales in Q1 to 382,182 tonnes. Billet sales, at 8t last year, increased to 15,011t. Exports, however, declined by 50% to 68,978t.
