Turkey's 9-month HRC output growth surpasses consumption
Turkish hot-rolled coil (HRC) production growth surpassed consumption in January-September, thanks to the sharp rise in exports, Kallanish learns from independent Turkish steel industry statistics provider SteelData.
Turkish HRC production increased 20% on-year to around 9.5 million tonnes in the nine months through September, while HRC consumption rose by 8.8% to 9mt. Turkey produced 1.6mt more HRC and consumed 0.7mt more HRC in January-September.
