Turkey's 2023 rebar exports slump despite December uptick
Following their recovery in November, Turkish rebar exports continued to rise in December. Despite the war in the Middle East, shipments grew by 28% on-year to 337,392 tonnes.
They were also up from 288,999t in October and 280,634t in November.
The average recorded December price was $568/tonne, versus $696/t in December 2022 and $564/t in November 2023, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
