Turkey consolidates net steel importer position in Q1
Turkey consolidated its net steel importer position in the first quarter as its intake grew 16.9% year-on-year, while exports climbed up only 1.6%, the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD) says.
The country's steel imports totalled 5.02 million tonnes in Q1. Their combined value declined -8.2% y-o-y to $2.87 billion, Kallanish learns from a TCUD statement.
