Turkey sells US rebar cargo, scrap booked cheaper
A Turkish mill has sold a rebar cargo to the US for the first time since the latter introduced Section 232 tariffs in March 2018, Turkish market sources tell Kallanish.
The deal was for a 15,000-tonne cargo booked at $640/tonne cfr US duty paid, which trading sources say nets back to $450-455/t fob Turkey actual weight, although the fob price has not been confirmed by the mill.
