Turkey raises import tax on some steel products
Turkey has increased the import tax on some products to protect domestic steel production and employment.
In addition, the special lower tax rate for some producers, such as pipemakers, cold rollers and white goods makers, when importing certain products has also been increased by 2 percentage points.
The new rates will remain in force until 15 July, Kallanish notes.
