Turkey iron ore imports decrease in August
Imports of iron ore in Turkey declined -13% year-on-year to 828,076t in August, after two consecutive months of growth, as billet imports jumped. The average price of iron ore imports dropped to $72/tonne from $116/t a year ago, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Turkey’s iron ore imports grew 51.2% y-o-y 806,028t in July and 49% to 974,707t in June.
