Turkey initiates safeguard investigation on wire rod imports
Turkey’s Ministry of Commerce is opening a safeguard investigation to examine whether the increase in the import of non-alloyed and alloyed wire rod poses serious damage or the threat of serious damage to the domestic production, according to Turkey’s Official Gazette announcement on 3 November.
The safeguard needs to be finalized in nine months. However, the period can be extended by another six months when necessary, Kallanish learns.
