Turkey increased HBI imports in February
In February, Turkey's import of hot briquetted iron (HBI) surged by 159% compared to the previous year, totalling 58,452 tonnes at an average price of approximately $396/t, based on data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) monitored by Kallanish.
The United States, Russia, and Libya were the main sources of HBI in February, while only the USA supplied HBI during the same period last year.
