Turkey extends import duties on some steel products
Turkey has extended higher import duties on certain steel products after the initial duty period expired.
In April Turkey increased import duties on certain products by 5% until 15 July in order to protect domestic production and employment. In addition, the special lower tax rate for some producers, such as pipemakers, cold rollers and white goods makers, when importing certain products was increased by 2 percentage points.
