Turkey cancels rebar import duty
Turkey has removed the 10% duty on rebar imports following the latest appeal by local construction contractors for government intervention to reduce domestic rebar prices.
The customs duty on imports of products falling under the HS code 7214.20 is set at 0%, effective 1 January 2018. Kallanish learns this from economy ministry documents published in the 31 December 2017 issue of Turkey's official gazette.
