Tung Ho orders welder for endless bar rolling
Taiwanese structural steel supplier Tung Ho Steel has ordered a welding line from Danieli to allow endless rolling on a bar mill, the engineering firm says in a note sent to Kallanish.
The new line will weld 150mm square billets to supply the 600,000 tonne/year No. 1 mill with billet in a continuous stream. The mill will focus on compact coils 3.5-5t each.
